PAD 664: Nonprofit Advocacy and Government Relations (Offered online via the SUNY Learning Network) This course is designed to prepare current and future nonprofit leaders with the skills and knowledge to pursue effective relationships with government and to influence public policy decision-making on behalf of mission-related goals. It stresses advocacy, lobbying, and voter education as key strategies for educating policymakers, the media and the public. This course is offered via the SUNY Learning Network (SLN), the State University of New York's wholly asynchronous web-based learning environment. It will next be offered in the spring 2006 semester.
