As an Assistant Professor in a bustling academic environment, I have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects in service to the college, to the profession, and to the community at large.

In terms of community service, I get involved in several important ways. First, by serving on committees and boards of local nonprofit organizations; second, by providing consulting advice (normally pro bono) to needy charitable organizations; and, third, by developing "service learning" projects for my classes designed to help both the nonprofit organization and the students alike.
